i quite enjoyed it, granted the whole 'spider eating the human race' was a bit far fetched but for some light entertainment on xmas day it wasnt bad.

some1 told me catherine tate wud b the regular woman in the new series but im so glad she isnt, as a 1 off it was funny but not for a whole series.

i was quite dissapointed with the tv entertainment this xmas tho, just as wel i had a house full to entertain!

    Welcome to the forums

Yeah, i think Dr Who is getting a bit repetitive.. i never saw the originals, but i think that bringing back the Daaleks for a third (maybe even fourth) time is pushing it a bit.

I can see why people would think Dr Who is crap.
I admit its not brilliant, but it tends to grow on you after a while, pretty much like Torchwood.
I certainly wouldn't list it in my top things to watch.
That honour goes to the American shows aka

    Battlestar Galactica
    Heroes
    24 (awaiting Day 6)
    Lost
Daybreak (shame ABC are cancelling this, great show)

The americans do it better it has to be said. Their shows *have* to be good just to survive, and even great shows like Daybreak fall by the wayside, so its pretty cutthroat over there.
But there is a certain quaintiness to Dr Who & Torchwood, and they are both pretty enjoyable.

Agree that Doctor Who was terrible. That's the first one I've watched since it came back, the last time I watched it being from behind the sofa screaming for my mummy when I was 6.

Torchwood looked terrible initially, but I've watched a couple of episodes now and I have found it quite enjoyable actually. Although it's far fetched, it's slightly more plausible than the spider thingys at the centre of the earth.

....and on that note, where was the magma!!???!??

Yeah, this was terrible. The acting of that spider woman was hilariously bad.

Who has gone downhill since eccleston left. It was already pretty shaky while he was carrying it, but each 'story' is getting worse now.
