What have you learnt from Hexus this year

I think Zak's post is interesting to see how has met who, obviously a lot of the people have the same set of people they have met.

But the interesting thing I think is what you've learnt from Hexus in the past year. That is an altogether different matter.

For me, i've learnt a stack load more about the inner workings of cars, from the forums, there was a great set of threads about inlet manifolds, turbo timers, grip etc, great advice on maintaining your car etc.

I've learnt that there are also a huge other selection of people that can't visit sites like www.play.com without spending silly money.

But I think that one thing that hexus has also helped me personally with is tolerance, being able to deal with things that go on here that I don't agree with or can't see the justification for.
Hexus is one of the most tolerant sets of people around (for the most part) and its great to have a good community going like this.

The question is what have you learnt from Hexus this year?.

Only been a member for a short while, but the Forums have already helped me out in many ways. I've learnt to fly properly in IL-2, more about overclocking and many new sites to visit for bargains and good info (also very good info here though)!

Cheers guys for the great site!

I've learnt that Zak is almost certainly mad !

    Russ admires himself !

The MOD and ADMIN team are a great set of guys (myself included !!!)

If you have any sort of query then you can most likely find an answer somewhere on the boards.

That the software and open source forum is speshul! I usually go there and post if I cannot find anything on google to sort my problem.

That you can ask pretty much anything in the GD forums and get a response, a good one!

And that, this place is full of super happy cool people that make me feel all warm inside!

    Gawd.....what have I learned.....tons...no kidding.

I can still kill a PC in a trice but I can mend lots of them too....

I have learned to LET TiG do his network thing and leave him alone cos he does it 30 times as fast without me asking what he's doing....and that without him my LAN would not have occured...(oh that's a lie...read on)

I've also learned that Jiff and Moby would BOTH have helped me to get my LAN going if TiG didn't exist....

Agent has taught me immense ammounts....his hardware knowledge is impressive.

I learned that dudes like Knox and Russ are cool and I wanna know them better. Cool people, like Josh, make me smile a lot and I wanna be more like them.

I learned MORE ABOUT WW2 planes than I have learned about most stuff ever....and I have learned respect for the hero's of WW2. That has beena very very real lesson. Thanks to all my buddies in IL-2 and Marlins. To Skii most of all, for INSPIRATION...and to Dak for trying so damned hard ALL THE TIME to keep me in the air.

David has taught me stuff about web based things that make my hair curl.

I have ALSO learned to avoid Play.com.....cos they are so dangerous.

I have learned that an online community can be more real than a neighbourhood, and that's just awesome.

It's been a good year..... and I am proud to be part.
