Cheers - I'm after the moon one as well (fully mechanical)...actually my first mechanical whenever it happens heh. Paying ~300quid more in 5 years isn't too bad tbh.
How do you like the watch

Sorry Madduck, you were saying?
Madduck, what?
Nothing wrong with people discussing their hobbies - after all there are millions of people who think we are freaks to be spending so much on pieces of electronics that go out of date in a year.
For the rest of you that think we are crazy, this falls under the field of Horology, which is timekeeping. In other words, watch collecting.
That said, to be considered a serious watch collector, you would need a rather large collection and a pretty sweet one I came across recently is Chuck Maddox's (he owns/runs TimeZone.com) where he has a collection of nine (9) Speedy Pros, all different movements etc.
A very very interesting article I happened to read this morning maybe found here and the 3573.50.00 I hope to get it based on the c.1863 movement,
On another note, I found this gem on eBay and hopefully should have it by next week,

I hope Stewart won't mind my mentioning this, he told me the one he wanted was this Tank Solo,
I find all these types of watches so dull, Tag, Rolex, Breitling etc... Unless of course they come from the age when design was interesting... http://70s-watches.com/ FTW
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...
This is what I use for my watch ;-)
Aaargh!! The 'I don't need a watch I have a phone' brigade are here'!!!
I tend to use my mobile too, but it sucks when it runs out of juice, specially when you find yourself talking a lot - so it's great to have a backup on your wrist
Here's another interesting watch that was left by my great grand-father. It's dead of course and I just took it to a watchmaker who opened it up - seems that the mainspring is broken and suggests I take it to Singapore for repair. It's by the Dennison Watch Co. Ltd, and has 'Special' marked - I think it's circa 1920's

Ok now *that* I can appreciate
