Personally, I find 'The Conch Republic' a far more interesting micronation.
As part of the protest, Mayor Wardlow was proclaimed Prime Minister of the Republic, which immediately declared war against the U.S. (symbolically breaking a loaf of stale Cuban bread over the head of a man dressed in a naval uniform), quickly surrendered after one minute (to the man in the uniform), and applied for one billion dollars in foreign aid.
Isnt there the 'island' (I think its just a rocky mass really) in the middle of the atlantic where if you can prove it is inhabitable you can own it or something like that?
I live near to this place (can see it out the window). It actually was invaded by the navy or army or something once but the people living there pointed their shotguns at the men as they were on the ropes out of the helicopter and they stopped. They weren't armed and weren't allowed to shoot anyway. So I doubt it will ever be reclaimed now.
