    Try one of these...

Try one of these Multi catch mouse trap with some bread coated in peanut butter.

Worked for me when the little buggers were eating the dog food in the garage.

My neighbour had bought a stack of dog food and stored it in the attic. unfortunately, as we live in a terrace and the attics are all connected, when the mice (or possibly rats, as they sounded a fair size when they run across the attic floor) found the food they had free run across the entire street (I really need to get round to blocking the sides of the attic up).

I bought one of those ultrasonic devices that also (supposedly) generates some sort of field through the connected electrical wires (to prevent the mice from nesting). It seems to have worked so far, (or at least I haven't heard one overhead since I switched it on).

The problem with the ultrasonics is it needs to be in line of sight (a wall or a floor can block it).

Whats so bad about having a mouse? We have loads of the little buggers running around. Some of them are even tame!
    With love and many thanks,

Does your dog not catch them or is my mums Lurcher just confused and thinks it's a cat when it's out in the woodlands?

I say get the football boots on and get ready to launch it out the door

well if your going to catch them in a humane trap, have you thought about selling them to people with snakes ?

make the snakes day having some live bait instead of some defrosted day old mouse

Using poison took a while ..weeks.You just keep checking to see if it has been eaten ,usually find if it stops going down then the mice have gone.Never had a problem with the dogs finding any mice as they usually go back to the nest to die. I never found any dead ones , just one day none of the poison had been eaten and after that didnt see any more signs of mice.

To be honest when i had a mouse in my house i got my hurling stick (irish sport) and i basically ransacked the house and when i found it i beat it to a pulp

It is best to have very little on your floors. Most of my stuff is now in shelves or cupboards so i always have a clear view of the floor in every room. They do tend to stick near boilers and places like that

Even if you weren't allergic, our cats increased the number of mice in the house, not lowered it

Ive discovered where it/they were living. It looks like it has taken a liking to a pair of my boots, and one of them was full of mouse crap (grrrrrr), and then I opened the draw under the tv unit and that was full of mouse crap as well, and it had made a bed out of 2 brand new woolly hats

    Its taunting me now.

Get a raw peanut (i.e. a shelled one) and take off the shell. Then take one standard mousetrap and superglue the nut in the bait hole (yes I did say that) - when the mouse comes along instead of getting the nut away (50% of the time they do if it's not glued) they have to tug it a bit harder which guarantees a timely demise for mickey.

    Works a treat.
