What's well pissing me off is this attitude of having a go at Channel 4 for airing such views. I'm sorry but surely it's better to get such ignorance and stupidity out there, to expose people to the repurcussions of their bigotry rather than pretending these views don't exist.
You don't see documentaries about war and crime refusing to show violence, why should 'reality TV' not show peoples attitudes warts and all.

well i wouldn't accept that violence and attitudes can be seperated in such a manner, but my point is that if Channel Four didn't broadcast it, it would be no different than Channel Four not covering a war cause of the violence. The idiot holds those bigotted views and I think it's better that she is allowed to be shown up as the vicious previleged bigot that she is, it's not like the other people on Shipwrecked are agreeing with her, it's not some BNP broadcast, it's just someone expressing publicly a bigotry that goes on all the time in private within certain spheres.

I watched this Sunday and was quite surprised by her views. I think her solution of stomach stitching to being fat just reinforces how narrow-minded she is. Also amusing how quickly her views on homosexuality changed when she realised she was living with one! To be honest, that show could actually do her a big favour and change her for the better.
