    it will be a while yet before i am ready to use any ATI (AMD) chipset. although it may happen that in future an AMD cpu will run best on an AMD (ATI) chipset.

    Yes, I remember that time and I know 3 people who all sold their nVidia cards on to buy ATI at the time because the nVidia drivers would not load on rebooting with both a nVidia chipset and gfx card.

    IIRC, at the time the chipset and gfx drivers were in the same package.

    from benchmarks The difference is in 0.x of an FPS, theres almost no advantage of matching motherbaords and GPU's

    It's like a advert I saw the other day for XFX, buy an XFX card and mobo and see better performance
