    Nvidia 8800GT Official

After nearly half a year of speculation about new high end Nvidia cards, the 8800GT has appeared whilst not high end it will be replacing the lower end GTS (320MB)

From some of the reviews it contends with the GTX thanks to its 112 shaders, only 16 behind the GTX. It has a faster pixel and texture fill rate too. Its clock, shader and memory speed are equal or higher than the GTX and it's a 65nm core not 90nm as all other Nvidia cards to date are, resulting is less heat so higher clock speeds.

It is one of the first cards to be classed as a PCI-E 2.0 card, giving more bandwidth to the cards.

It is expected to be released late October early November.

This is not Nvidias new high end card that's rumoured to be the G92 core whilst this is the G96. It is still part of the 8-series cards.

    The card on Foxconn's site

The card is not yet listed on Nvidia's site.

Nice find, look forward to seeing some benchmarks against the rest of the 8 series cards.
I wonder what the temps will be like with the single slot design.
