Ordered mine yesterday
I've seen a Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 cooling a 8800GT passively somewhere, and with less load temps than the stock HS/F. Whether temps keep ramping up a bit if you're playing for hours on end, I don't know, but I think I'd still be tempted to stick a really slow moving fan in the vicinity, just to keep things under control.

silent and near top range power...about time too i think that graphics cards came that way. i wonder why in idle they still suck energy like no tomorrow? how difficult would it be to add power-saving tech from cpu's or even their mobile brothers?!
but would gpu temp be significantly higher with passive cooling on 8800gt? as in too close to dangerous.
It is not the passive cooling Sparkle card as they have photo'ed. They've never had this card in. They had the basic Sparkle card which sold out and now it is the EVGA card they are giving out. OEM so just the card and CD drivers (no box). I emailed then over past few days to confirm this.
