Guys,is it doable to get an 8800gt, remove the cooler, strip out the apparently asbestos based crap they coat everything in, use a decent thermal material instead, and then replace the stock cooler? Or do they allow clearance for the crappy heat material, so that won't work?

Coming down in favour of the accelero S1 at the moment.
