The T240 uses a TN panel with a 5ms response time, for £300 you could get a PVA panel which will have better colour reproduction and viewing angles but slightly slower response times.
The three PVA panels that are easily in your price range are,
OCUK value 24" monitor £260 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=MO-026-OK
Apparently a good monitor for the price.
Hyundai W240D PVA £295 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-056-HY&groupid=703&catid=17&subcat=510&name=Hyundai%20W240D-PVA%2024%22%20Widescreen%20LCD%20Monitor%20-%20Glossy%20Black
Offers a really good picture an all the inputs you could ever want.
Finally the Lenovo L220x which is a 22" monitor with a 1920*1200 resolution £295 http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=53P6
The 22" with the higher resolution should provide a sharper image as the pixels are smaller and would probably be my personal choice as it will also take up less room.
Edit: The Hyundai and Lenovo both use Samsung made panels and have a grey to grey response time of 6ms, not sure who the manufacturer of the OCUK panel is but it again has a G2G response time of 6ms.
The OCUK monitor is made by DGM and has been a lot issues surrounding some monitors not having a pva panel but instead a tn. For the price you can't really beat the hyundai atm. I have that and I'm v. happy with it! Unlike the DGM or yuraku monitors, the hyundai will definitely be a pva panel not tn.
The range of inputs is matched with the ability of 1:1 pixel mapping which makes sure that if the image on the screen isn't meant to be displayed at 1920x1200 then you can display it at the original resolution. I got mine for 400 quid at xmas and it was the best specced pva monitor for that price range, at around 300 quid it's a steal!
ok ty for responce thus far took a look at the hyundi and looks nice,
before i buy this is there any more i should consider before buying???
