The Nail That Sticks Out Gets Hammered Down
I would get neither!!
You can a GTX260 for £120 delivered:

You can also get an HD4870 512mb for £129.99 delivered:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/160969
BTW the GTS250 is on offer on Scan Today Only for around £94.
Yesterday Scan had the EVGA 260 GTX SSC on for £135 Yesterday Only.
That has a core speed of 626 over the Zotac one of 576 and ram at 2106 over 1998.
So watch out for that on Today Only again. Lots of card for the money
Of those two though, I'd buy the 4850 for gaming over economy...and the 250 for economy over gaming,....the 250's use very little electricity in 2d, and will be save you dough long term if you use your PC for lots of 2d stuff.

You can get the HD 4770, which is a cheaper and cooler version of the 4850. Look for it on ebuyer.
4850x2 for £148:40 delivered
http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/2049...=369&srcid=369
Or 4890 1gb for £168:40 delivered (its a saphire model as I have one fo them from pixmania)

Both will blow a single card away.
4770 512meg £78:12 delivered and will overclock at least 20% for free.

If it was my money and wasn't a hc gamer I would buy the 4770. Cheaper and with a little overclocking more powerful than both cards you mentioned. For cooler and better performance buy a akasa neo vortex (after checking its compatible) £13:82

I had one on my old 4850 and it dropped the temps 20 degrees of the stock cooler on idle and load.
