    IMO, there are just too many things to ignore (on NVIDIA, but not on ATi) to buy ATi- why would you limit yourself?
    Depends how far away, nVidia's next gen is by the time the AMD parts hit the shelves. There -are- people who are running old card/needing a new build at any given time. People who may not upgrade very often either, so I wouldn't recommend a current gen card if they do game a bit.

    One of my 8800gtx cards failed recently failed and I have a LAN in november so I don't have the luxury of waiting to see what Nvidia brings.

    I'm just hoping ATi will have a good supply of cards and won't charge and excessive amount due to the fact I'm based in the UK.
