    That's ok but i do think you need to improve your reading skills before saying i cant spell monitor.

    I'm not sure if going above 1440x900 on the monitor will do anything bad seeing as im running on the highest resolution that it will allow me too, when i get home i will inform you what that is, if your intrested in buying drop me a PM

    Re: 1440x900 resolution need help

    That tv is 1440 x 900 native, ie that is the Max resolution it can do.
    If you try to send it a 1080p feed it will automatically scale it to 720p (1280x720)

    Which may not look like as 1440*900 is a 16:10 ratio, not the 'widescreen' 16:9.
    Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
    CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
    TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
    for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    Re: 1440x900 resolution need help

    I was looking to use it as a second monitor, using a DVI to HDMI converter, and i am not sure if it will really work, as i have a 24" Dell, and it might be a bit weird using it at a different resolution to the 1920x1200 native resolution of the Dell.

    Thanks

    Ayman

    Yes it is.
    1080i = 1080 INTERLACED = 540 alternate frame.
    Most lcd & plasma cannot do interlaced, so they deinterlace the image to convert it into a progressive signal they can display, duering this process they normally rescale the image so you end up with a 720p image, a deinterlaced 1080i will still to look better than a normal 720p as it can often run at a slightly higher frame rate.
    However the overall quality of a deinterlaced 1080i image will depend on the deinterlaceing used within the hardware of the tv/monitor

    Native resolution of an LCD is the Maximum resolution, it is the number of physical points there is in the panel.
