    Checking for R360 core?

How do you check if the core is R360 when buying a 9800 Pro. Is there anyway to check on the box?

Only way to check is to use a program to look at it or actually tke the sink off and look at the core itself.

Buy a card from a decent ratalier like scan or komplett- they will probably be able to tell you if their stock has 360 cores or not

i am guessing that u want to check to see if you can flash to XT?

the core isn't really that important tbh - the ram is

My Hercules 9800 Pro is an r350 core, and i just flashed it to a 9800XT

you need the 2,8ns samsung memory, thats all really =)

Bioses for various cards are here

Flashing to a 9800XT on an r350 core can produce some odd problems even if you have the correct ram and good cooling. I saw some very odd artifacting on a friends r350 9800pro after the flash, had to flash back.

Most programs just read the BIOS info, so yo should remove the heatsink and acctually look at the core.
