    6800GT flavours?

Are all 6800GT by different manufacturers/brands the same, or are some more equal than others?

I know the Galaxy and BFG cards are OCed out of the box, but is this due to cherry picking cores, or simply that all cards will have *that* much tolerance?

Cheapest 6800GT? (£259 @ PCWcomponents for BFG is my best so far...)

Also, anyone own a galaxy card and confirm whether it is actually quieter than other similar cards?

And is the nice pretty cooler on the BFG crap/loud as some threads have suggested?

    Question questions....

    Ta muchly!

I have the PNY. Pretty much a reference design. Overclocks well, and is quiet. All-in-all, I don't think you could go wrong with any of them, they are all so similar. As regards their ultimate overclocks, well that's down to the individual card. Still, nearly all hit at least base ultra speeds - 400/1.1. Mine hits 430/1.15, but I leave it at base Ultra speeds for lower temps and longer life; it's more than quick enough at those clocks.

I'd say the BFG at £259 is a very sweet deal if your are in the market for one. Go for it.

BFG comes out tops in this months PC Format testing of all the current cards, looking at all attributes, not just performance. Obviously, the performance isn't as great the as Ultra's or X800XT's, but when you bring the price comparison into it, an extra 25% cost for an extra few frames per second isn't really worth it IMHO.

BFG is the 6800 I would get, if I didn't have my heart set on the X800Pro.
