    Dead Pixels

I've got a Samsung 19" TFT which I've only had for a few weeks.

It appears to have a cluster of dead pixels in the bottom corner. Check it out:

The pictures arent very clear, sorry. But it's definitely not dirt on the screen

It's hard to say exactly but it looks like 3-6 dead pixels next to each other which are always black, regardless of which colour the TFT is displaying.

I know the ISO standard mentions cluster faults - how many can a 19" TFT have before it can be RMAed?

It depends on the manufacturer tbh. There was an article on toms hardware guide listing the different manufacturers and the number of dead pixels needed. Have you tried rubbing gently next to the dead pixel as this sometimes gets them back to life.

Yeah done that. I've read the articles, my understanding was that any cluster fault would allow you to return it. I mean we're talking about 4 or 6 dead pixels stuck together there. I just wanted to check other people's understanding because I didn't exactly find the Tom's Hardware article particularly clear (and in fact the article mentions the complexity of the ISO standard).

Also, just wanted to check to see whether other people thought it looked like a cluster.
