    Lightbulb No responsability solutions

Some solutions are to add coolbits2 to your regestry and clock down your 3d to 400MHZ the same as the 2d speed.

The most popular is to contact your Card manufacturer and get them to send you the latest BIOS usually comes with 3 files

    CWSDPMI.exe
    nvflash.exe
    *****.rom
all must be copied and pasted onto a bootable disk made in windows.
Back up yr rom first then flash the supplied one in!

Of course i take no responsability for cards blowing up these are just suggestions if your having problems (like me).
Ive gotta flash my card tonight. Its a 6800 Ultra PNY version AGP 256MB

I just meant removing the card & re-seating it in the agp slot. I think the big passive cooler may have dislodged it when i shoved it back under the desk.

Temps? Pushing it too far? Badly cooled case?

I've an early PNY 6800GT (hence early BIOS) and I've never had a single problem with it. Run at 400/1100, which is more than fast enough. My PC is left running 24/7, too.

Still, hope the BIOS upgrade works for you.
