    6600gt manufacturer

after reading the recent onslaught of post about this new 6600gt i think i'd better have one, only trouble is which one to get? i like the look of the xfx one as the games bundle is good, i cant afford the gainward glh one (shame).

anyone got one already? or know a reliable manufacturer....i've always used sapphire in the past, but they dont do nvidia do they?

after one for less than £160ish and AGP please

    thanks

Brand naming on the card is not important IMO since these days they all copy Nvidia or ATI reference design. Mostly I just buy the cheapest I can find and so far I've not had a bad card from any manufacturer. I've seen prices £120 for PCI-E and £135 for AGP so take your time and shop around. Don't forget you can get 6800 (non GT) for £170 OEM which is significantly faster.

where d'you see the 6600gt agp for £135?? ive read some bad things about the aopen 6600gt agp cards?!

is the 6800 non pro really worth the extra as £185 is alot more than £135-150 for me and i'm only playing the games in 1280*1024 so super high res is no issue for me? would just be nice to be able to use AA and AF for once !!!!

Gigabyte brand 6600GT from DABS £132

I don't know how stock at DABS works as everything seems to be 0 stock all the time but so long as you're not in any particular rush it's the cheapest I've seen with the AGP interface. Gigabyte are a well respected manufacturer of motherboards so I cannot see a problem with their grapics cards. DABS is about as mainstream as it gets for online shopping. It just a question of how long you have to wait so it's probably worth checking particularly if it a christmas present.

lowestonweb are very cheap but obviously they bumped the prices for christmas but if you can wait until the new year things should return to normal and perhaps they will get some 6600GTs in the AGP flavour and not just the PCIE
