S'ok mate, I was very much a console gamer until recently, and my cards have very much been quality over quantity.Originally Posted by Allen
In the right order :
S3 Virge DX 8 Mb
Matrox G550 with TV out
Diamond Monster (Savage 2000 chipset)
Maxi Gamer TNT2 (Guillemot - 64 Bit version)
Rage 128
Voodoo 3 3500 (It had the tv out on it!)
Geforce 2 MX400
Geforce 3 Ti 500
Geforce 4 Ti 4200
Radeon 9600 Pro
Geforce FX 5500
Geforce FX 5700 LE (Current card : it actually runs HL2 fantastic even though its an LE)
My Radeon 9600 Pro is currently away for repair / replacement through Connect3D, should have it back mid January. Best card I've had in a while, runs everything really well. It's much better than this card I am currently using.
I Love these 'no one reads 'e, but fun to post anyway' threads. Anyway here goes.
Onboard graphics in Acorn comps in the good 'ole days, then...
Geforce DDR (32mb) nice, this was the daddy when i got it with my 550 PIII.
Radeon 9500 (128mb) nice cheap import from the states via My Gf's mother and Newegg.com
GeForce 6800 (normal one @ 128mb) 'cos it looked like a bit of a bargain.
I've also picked up a few Riva TNT2's and and a Rage 128 pro whcih I've used in "spare parts" systems.
They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.
Some 1mb Cirrus Logic ISA card, was in a 33mhz 486
Matrox Mistique 4mb, in a 200mmx Pentuim
Maxtrox Millenuim G200 8mb, 333 P2 then a 433 Celery
Geforce SDR 32mb, P3 600 then a 1gig Athlon
Geforce 2 MX 32mb, More of a sidestep than an upgrade really
Geforce 3 Ti200 64mb, 1.4 Athlon then 2400+ XP
ATI Radeon 8500 64mb, With the 2400+ XP only used it for about a week or two.
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb, With the 2400+XP then a 2500+ XP-M and now a A64 3500+
A PCI-E 6800 GT and a nforce 4 board are the next on the list.
RenaultSport Clio 172
fun fun...
