      • Memory:
      • 48GB DDR3 1600 (6 * 8GB)

    Oooh... Blimey

Some awful Trident VGA card was the first thing I had (with my Pentium 120MHz)
Then a Matrox Millenium 2 (overclocked P120 to P133 by then)
    Then the Matrox + a voodoo 1 (bought a P200 MMX)
GF2 MX (first AGP card - paired with a fearsome 600MHz Celeron + VIA chipset mobo!)
    GF2 GTS (P3 800MHz - ditched the VIA chipset for a i815 'b step' mobo)
GF3 Ti 200 (overclocked to Ti500 speeds... my i815 b step mobo eventually let me upgrade to a Celeron Tualatin 1100Mhz @ 1466MHz with this card too)
Radeon 8500LE (swaped it for the TI for a bit...)
Radeon 9600 non pro (it was cheap... and not much faster than the 8500LE... upgraded to an XP1700+ and nForce2 mobo by then)
Radeon 9800 SE AIW (XP1700+ running at 2.1GHz by now... sold it after a couple of months - got £90 or so IIRC)
Radeon 9800 Pro (bought when the prices dropped to ~ £120 with the £90 from the AIW... Got an XP-M 2500+ soon after... Still running around 2.3GHz to 2.4GHz depending on what I feel like...)

Have since then flashed the pro to an XT and clocked it up a bit higher than XT speeds... Have stuck an arctic cooler on it too (new version) but to be honest not that impressed with it

Next upgrade will depend a lot on what happens between now and when I can afford it ... If I had the cash today it would be a 6800GT

The old cards were bad my first real "Ha ha" graphics card apart from hercules card etc was a cirrus logic VESA local Bus with 486 CPU , then diamond stealth 3D 2000 Video funny thing was no 3D I could find...

i then splashed out on a Matrox Millenium II without much research I saw no difference from the 3D 2000 the d-sub video output was very good quality for my crt screen, this is what Matrox was for really. Now have a Radion 9800 pro flashed as XT and have just started playing X2 The Threat, it seems to be the first 3D I can play without getting Dizzy quickly ! Apex you seem to have gone a similar way, along with many I suppose. None of the bad ones where cheap I remember geting my VL Bus
cirrus for £60 a lot 10 years ago.

It is exciting now, just need the cash to keep playing.

To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
