Looking for a cooler for OEM Rad9800 Pro...

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows of a good cooler for a Radeon 9800 Pro (128Mb) OEM? It's the red card with the offset rectangle (is that called a trapezoid? rhomboid? cant remember) shaped stock HSF. I was looking at the Arctic Cooling ATi Silencer series but apparently no shops or sites in the UK carry the ones for my card.

I've seen vantec ones amongst others, some zalman fanless ones... fanless ones safe? Don't want to go for water cooling so that's out but if anyone knows of a good one with significantly better cooling and less noise than the stock ATi reference cooler I'd be keen to hear about it.

thanks all, i got the arctic cooling one, the proper 9800 pro model.

Incidentally, while cleaning the old thermal gunk off the VPU I noticed it said R360 - the model number for the chip used on the 9800 XT - so i flashed the BIOS with an XT image and clocked the card up to XT speeds. w00t, free graphics card upgrade!

nah thanks for that shiato but i'd looked at them already and found that when using with a 9800 or similar radeon card it was necessary to use an optional fan as well since the heatsink/heatpipe assembly isn't sufficient for said VPU on it's own... maybe thats been revised tho.

As it is i'm happy with the AC cooler, its definitely quieter than the stock unit.
