    nvidia VIVO

    Hi,

I have been looking for a VIVO card with the nvidia chipset, there is one that interests me, the MSI NX6600-VTD128E Diamond. What I wonder is, is it a good choice? are there any more VIVO cards out there with the same spec? I am only going on price and the VIVO functionality with some good gaming capabilities. My budget is max £100 ex VAT (rather spend less).

    My needs are:
    a) PCI-Express (have a A8N-SLI MOBO)
    b) Some gaming, Everquest and the like
    c) Freeview (digital-tv) / analog tv (that is why the video-in)

What do you think? Perfect would be a Composite-In, 6600GT, SLI enabled card for less than a £100. But I think I may be dreaming.

BTW, is this correct? is this card SLI as this guy says?
    Thanks,
    / jorge

that one isnt sli compatible. Its a 6600 but can be overclocked to 6600gt as it has gddr3 memory.

there is a 6600gt with vivo this one

but I havent found it in UK shops

Nevermind, got the MSI NX6600-VTD128E Diamond. But I still wonder if there are any other VIVO nvidia 6600 cards out there.

you'll never find a graphics card such as the PCI-E 6600GT or even 6800 range that can decode the freeview signal, What you will need to do is get an additional card such as a pinnacle or hauupauge nova-T PCI to decode the freeview and allow you to watch TV on the PC and these cards can only do Digital and not analogue decoding as well.

    For VIVO - there are a few 6600 PCI-E cards that have VIVO such as the following models ;

    Gigabyte GV NX66T12
    Leadtek WinFast PX6600 TD MYVIVO

    ASUS COMPARISON TABLE

    Hope this helps

Thanks. I am thinking of getting a Freeview box and use the Video-In, would this work?
