LTT did but only fleetingly as in-depth reviews isn't really their audience (no offence to LTT).

    I think FS2020 is completely CPU/DX11 bound isn't it?

Got to imagine they're looking at DX12/Vulkan in the near future?

    No it seems to scale:

We can only wish, but I have my doubts how achievable it is in the short term. I wouldn't be surprised if it only came with a new release.

1 frame at min and 5 at average between the 2080S and Ti isn't what I personally would consider scaling.

From that very same article they say this:
Even at 1440p the game is still CPU limited with the medium quality preset. We saw the same average frame rate performance with the RTX 2070 Super, 2080, 1080 Ti, 2080 Super and 2080 Ti.

Looking for some comparisons in DCS, will have to wait for release I expect. But of a niche game.

    (bolding mine)
Well yes, if you knock the settings down then the GPU doesn't becoming limiting any more and something else (CPU) has to. But I wouldn't be interested in a 3080 if I was just going to knock the settings down I would love to know how it scales to the 3080 or if the CPU becomes a bottleneck even at ultra.

Re: Nvidia Ampere RTX3000 review thread

Anyway, to answer my own question. DF have just put up a FS2020 video for the 3080:

The 3080 is always faster (av 24% at 4k), but the extent depends on the scene.

    I do wonder if we'll see a 3080Ti come in the form of a 12GB 3090?

Re: Nvidia Ampere RTX3000 review thread

The last time a really power hungry card was released, AMD's Hawaii, there were some interesting results temps versus power draw.
Basically, silicon is more efficient when running cooler so 290X at 90°C used more power than the same card running at 65°C.
Has anyone come across any reviewers trying to see the difference on these 322W - 371W monsters with the fan cranked up to max versus at default? Assuming that the max fan spin could substantially lower the GPUs.
