I just ordered my X800XT for £197 with a power adapter delivered from scan, which is the best you can do for £200...and get the 3700+ San Diego with the extra cache

Good advice if you plan on keeping your rig for more than a year. If not you may want to buy something cheaper and wait until the new tech comes out. Lot's of new stuff on the horizon.

Yes, but some people upgrade every 3 years and some everyday. Obviously these people will have different priorities so the hardware that makes sense for one will not always make sense for the other.
