so you can get a 68800gt retail for 200quid? because like i said, a xtp[e can be had for 270.

so your telling me you'd get a gt over an xt, there the same price. i give up with you, you obviously don't get it.

how can you recommend a ****ing x800xl when ive linked a x800xt for 234quid.

Yes? And your point is? They are on different levels, the XT PE is a better card, but the GT will play all current games with ease, and is £70 cheaper! Again, you're not comparing apples with apples.

Definately. The XT might be better for benching, but it's not all about numbers. Many people will agree that the with latest generation of cards nVidia's perform better for games, but the ATi's perform better in benchmarking. I dont' want to go into an ATi - nVidia flame war, they are both good cards, and whichever he choses he'll be happy with it.

Is there a parrot in here, I'm sure I typed that a few posts ago.....

Because the XL is cheaper and still performs very well, like with the GT. The XL may not be as good as the XT or the XT PE, but I always base my opinions mainly on performance per pound, and the GT/XL have the best out there. IMO getting the Ultra or the XT/XT PE is a waste of money when other cards do the job just as well (for gamers of course) and are cheaper.

Some people actually find it difficult to shell out an extra £70 for sth that bench just a few hundred more points. And why are you so uptight about your XT? Are you so much in love with it? You must get out more m8...

Umm... Does over 100+ fps on AA+AF HL2 at 1280x1024 justify?

Well, probably its just a sickness I have... I just need to push every pence of the £25 i paid on a game to run at its maximum detail. Besides, they did put it there so you could run them.... long live AA

If you say so, 100fps seems..unnecessary..though...

anyway, the higher resolutions and AF and AA is a good reason

    Alreeeeet!!! Calm down, calm down!

Looks like many options here, for ATi its X800XL upwards, and for nVidia a 6800GT upwards, will bear these in mind.....

What about next gen cards, when will they be out, and what about this dual GPU malarky?

Not gonna bother feeding this troll any more. No need to swear as much as you do tbh, and as for calling me and, I presume sawyen, noobs? Heh, grow up mate.

Regarding AA and AF, there's no way a 6800GT can't handle it. I run all games 1600x1200, and it's always on if possible. Works a treat.

never said it couldn't. but watch it fall behind an xt a lot at the same settings.

google is your freind. i also see you cant back up any of your bold claims, regarding the gt being better for games, and getting a gt cheaper than a xt i found for 234.

Any game realesed in the last four years if you want to use the best settings.

BF1942, wich is 3 years old, can still give my overclocked 6800GT a workout. Some newer games butcher it at higher settings.

yea.. they tend to give GT cards a run for it money. Newer games with better driver support seems to solve these problems.

but anything under normal resolutions (1280x1024) runs fine with all the sugars added.... that means AA and AF..

And no thanks smokey... we don't need any of your xtpe bragging... AND YES.. we know how you want us GT users to tremble at your fee~.. car~.. or whatever your thick ego wants you to feel...
