Does that mean the GFX card is pumping out an anlogue or digital signal when a VGA adaptor and monitor is being used? I need to know what mode my card is working in to nail down the fault to a DVI problem. See where i am coming from here?
Bios 14 for the AN8 was OK for me
Flashed to Bios 15 and got the no signal problem half way through windows loading. Booted to safemode and re-flashed the 14 bios. Updating the graphics drivers made no difference. Uninstalling the graphics drivers and I could boot into windows normally but without drivers the 6600gt is pretty darn useless.
Now on bios 16 and the problem I had with 15 is fixed. Bios 15 was OK if you had ATI graphics. Some sort of conflict with the Nvidia drivers
My graphics card is a 6600GT the mainboard is AN8-V

Updated the BIOS from 15 - 16 and now it works!
I am a very happy man. PM me your email address and i will buy you a drink
One other thing, the LED code display on the motherboard now says "1.7." when it has finished booting, which is not in the manual. Before the BIOS update it was always "F.F.", which the manual says is "Boot attempt (INT 19h)". Any idea what "1.7." means?
You're welcome.
Dunno about the LED readout codes. Mine was reading FF on the 14 bios but not looked after I flashed to 16.
I know now that you only get FF is you are not running the abit guru software. Once any software starts fiddling with the BIOS and low level system settings from windows you will get different codes. Using Sandra etc also make it change sometimes. Have not got a clue what they mean though, the manual is rather cryptic.Originally Posted by ed^chigliak
