    Its more that you can 'feel' that it lags at certian points, the fps may stay up realy high, but you can notice that its struggling to catch up.. like if your playing CS and your bro is surfin the web, you can feel it lag up, but the fps is allll good...

    Yeah it's all about 'feel' - FPS is usually a mean number, so it doesn't always reflect true performance (but hey, it's as good a metric as any) - HL2 was quick on 1 gig for me, once it had cached enough of the level through me playing it but it did detract from the 'experience'. It's a bit like the whole game slowing down every time the 'bad guys' appear - it means you never surprised and detracts from the fun (for me anyway) - which happens on some games due to precaching of assets (and it's not just graphics).

    but thats nothing to do with your system, rather your inet connection...

    Was more of an example... I was trying to say, that the FPS can be way high, but it wont 'feel' right...
