What to do with a possibly faulty spare ATi X800 XT PCI-E card?

I replaced my possibly faulty ATi X800 XT card yesterday with a BFG 7800GT card. So, I now face a dilemma. With the X800 XT card, my system was getting many VPU recovers and BSOD's on ati2dvag.dll. This could have been a driver fault or a hardware fault.

I just bit the bullet and bought a new nVidia card and all is well.

So, I have this spare ATi X800 XT PCI-E card that *may* be faulty but I cannot prove it one way or the other as it's been in my system since January of this year, with the BSOD's that I pretty much got used to.

I wouldn't dream of selling it as a working card. What options have I got? I don't really want to bin it as there may be nothing wrong with it. I have no use for it now so need to get rid of it.

Is it in warranty and you have access to another system you could try it in? If it works in the other system then its was probably just some issues with your setup and you could sell it. If it doesn't work in the other system and you have the same issues you could rma and then sell it.

Take up agents offer to test it for you.

If worst comes to worst you could always just sell it as faulty on ebay. State exactly what the problems are and say that it may be possible for the right person to fix it but you don't know whats wrong.

You are in the clear as you have stated it faulty so caveat emptor.

Might get you a few pennies from nothing.
