Nice.. but not really worth the cost - most GTs can go to the same speeds and an overclocked GS can easily get there, for a fraction of the price.
very true, but if it was like 20 quid cheaper... GT probably gets the winOriginally Posted by kalniel

True - and with the golden sample you're paying for a good quality board and they definately have a higher resale value I suppose (seeing as the OP has already bought ).
Good board but noisy.
Rememeber AGP 6800GS 350 core 12 pixel pipes, 6800GT Golden sample 400 core 16 pixel pipes and both £175 at scan. It's got to be the GT. No comments about PCI-E not willing to buy a complete system yet. About the noise, I will be using a Zalman Fatality GPU cooler.
arctic cooling vga coolers are pretty damn good and cheaper than the zalman. Scan don't sell em but a lot of stores do
Noisy is not even the word, until mine had the watercooling i feared playing games it was so loud, at least it can be configured down to a annoying woosh in 2D mode.
Already have the Zalman on a 6600GT, I'll remove and place original cooler and transfer 6600GT to second system and place Zalman on the 6800GT hopefully this will lead to some nice overclocks.
