    7800gt core mhz

I just swapped out my 7800GT for a Gigabyte GV-NX78T256V-B 7800GT. Why is my core default at 275Mhz? in Vtuner2 and Riva tuner? I thought it should be around 400? I may be being dumb lol. The memory is 1000Mhz which is right. If I hit smart tune in Vtuner2, the core goes up to 405 Mhz.
    Rhyth is selling:
Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 XR Di ll LD Aspherical (IF) £230 +pp
    Canon 50mm 1.8 II £50 +pp
    Proven good copies.

It has two modes. One for 2D, and one for 3D.

The 2D mode is what you are looking at. Thats 275MHz. In 3D it runs @ 400MHz.

Ah thanks sutyi. So it will automaticaly hit 405 when a 3d application is run. The smart tune box when ticked, clocks it at the set values regardless of 2d or 3d mode? lol, I did read the book but it's half a page and brief at that.

When you oc' your card with an application from the manufacturer, or with a 3rd party app. you just simply set your 3D Clock to a higher value.

With CoolBits you can adjust the 2D clocks to a lower level, for a colder & quieter operation.
