P.S. Mine may well by up for sale soon when Samsung finally release the 30" 2560x1600 panel - not too far!

Yours might well be fine. I think it's a case of hit or miss really. It is £800 to part with and im thinking maybe it's worth waiting until end of summer and then see what the big picture is like then. If this a major issue i'm sure Samsung will have a firmware fix for it!

Actually, wait for the BenQ 24incher.

It has more new technology like eliminating ghosting and such.

EDIT: CPC seem to think it was a good screen and no mention of input lag

How do you think my 6800GT will cope with this screen?

I also read on some U.S site that the problem with input lag seems to be more common on the black models. Not sure if it's true though......?

Well i've decided to hold out until i see some more UK reviews.

    Hi,

I've just spotted the Dell for £693.24 inc VAT at Micro Direct (http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...urce=Dealtime) or even cheaper PCBuyIt for £663.88 and is Rev A02 (http://www.pcbuyit.co.uk/product.asp...Fid=6&sku=133).

It seem there is a lot of mixed feeback some seeing banding some not with this monitor.

It's only £5 more at Scan including delivery, and they are likely to offer much better service! Not sure about the revisions though...

I don't see how silver plastic vs. black plastic would effect how a TFT panel unit performs

    Hi,

I'm still tempted to go for this monitor having read more comments, the banding appears to only be an issue if you spend a lot of time working in Photoshop.

It's a shame Scan can't say which revision they have (it's been asked before), I'd much rather have a rev A02 from the start than have to start messing about getting it exchanged.

Well I opted for the Dell arrived from Scan this morning.

So far am not overly impressed with it, text it blurey and it has an irritating buzz when the backlight is turrend down from the retina burning 100%. Also not this is an A01 revision.

I have called Scan who advised me to call Del who wuld only replace it with a refurbished screen as it was bough by Scan's supplier over 30 days ago. :@

I objected to having a refurbished screen to replace a brand new screen and have since called Scan back for them to now sort it.

Please let me know how you get in with regards to your replacement.

I would be grateful if you could let me know how you find the A02 screen?

    Hope all goes well.

    Hi,

Just to update you, the guys who supply Scan with the Dell monitors have called me and will be sorting out a replacement.

We had a chat and he said they have some A02's there and will swap it out with one of those.

Once I have the replacement I'll let you know my thoughts.

I will say bar the problems with the one I got it does look to be a really nice screen, it's a shame really as this one has no dead/stuck pixels that I can see - shame it's all blury and buzzing.

    Hi All,

I have been advised that Dell will be doing the exchange hopefully early next week so fingers crossed for a fault free monitor this time.

I have been reading some recent posts regarding the A02 revision and from the few posts on the Dell forms I read they does seem to be an improvement over the earlier revisions.

There are some pics of the banding problem in the following thread with a side by side comparison of the A00 and A02 revisions: http://forums.us.dell.com/supportfor...ssage.id=59638
