    Graphics Card(s)

    Hey all,

Iam looking for some help, i want to connect 3 monitors to a new build iam doing so iam putting in the research before hand.

The monitors iam using are these they have d-sub connectors so a gfx with one d-sub and one dvi would work i think and i would then need to get a convertor.

What i would like to know is what gfx card should i go for becuase i think i will have to get two cards....to attach 3 monitors or maybe their is another way!!

    Cheers

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...ics_Cards.html i don't know if that will do the trick (top of the page). Although, whether you want to get an Sli rig just to be sure that your system can cope with the load..?

EDIT: And if that is what you're looking for, you'll probably have to buy a lot of VGA => DVI adaptors

You wouldn't actually be using SLI though...just any additional graphics card....so you shouldn't need any top-end stuff I believe:

"When in Multi-GPU mode, SLI currently supports one monitor. When in Single-GPU mode, users have the ability to use up to 4 monitors using nView Multi-Display Technology and Windows XP Dualview"

Well the mid range option would be a pair of 7600GTs - they would see you good for a bit of gaming and for monitor madness. Should be looking at about £250 for the pair.

Take it you're not gaming (from what you said above).

If you were, it would be a very non-standard resolution as it is .

To get a triple display, you should be able to connect up any old graphics cards, even a PCIe and an olde worlde PCI card I should have thought (I assume the Nvidia control panel will let you do this?)...what apps were you planning on running...anything more intensive than Microsoft Excel?
