Please Help Unlock My xfx 512 6800 gs/xt

as the title suggests i am having trouble unlocking my 6800


i am using riva tuner

i have chosen to unlock some pps and vps

and when i restart it displays as still the default even though in the customize window they are checked


please help

PLEASE!

also... the piplines that i Checkmarked... they say disabled... after i reboot are they supposed to say enabled?

if not how do i enable them...


i need to unlock this card folks....

also.... nv41 core... please tell me its unlockable...

If rivatuyner still says 7 disabled, thhat means your card is laser cut or something equally destructive. It's unlikely you'll get any working. I've had 4 7800GT's via various means in rivatuner. Only one has unlocked succesfully anything at all.

Maybe a voltmod or bios flash will sort you out, but i've never done one a 6800, so get googling

what does a bios flash do to help me unlock exactly?

ok i got that instead of unlocking.. i flash it instead... so what programs do you guys recommend?

and how do i make a backup of my original bios?

someone verify... that there is no way to upgrade my 6800xt besides overclocking... because i have already overclocked... now i want to unlock it

Quite simply you cannot do it

NV41 or PCI Express 6800s will not unlock; full stop

Only AGP ones had a chance at unlocking

The reviewer may have had an engineering sample; some 7800GTs that were 1st sent to reviewers could unlock

yes but you see... the reviews are spaced out like by months

many people have been able to unlock it

and from wut ive seen nv41 is infact unlockable the ones that arent are nv40 and others and min is AGP

Merged your multiple bumps, please don't do it again, the occasional bump is okay (after a few days), but several times within a few minutes is just extracting the urine
