Can you let me know what you think of 2D quality compared to your 9800pro? I had a 7900GT for a bit & it was awful! (yes i tweaked it & tried other drivers!)

I'm tempted to keep my 9800pro in for doing 2D work!

Were you having to use a DVI->VGA adaptor with the 7900GT? If so I've found they can screw up the 2d quality quite badly. Make sure you have a good one, it's tightened right up, and if it's still bad, try the other DVI output instead.

2d seems OK, although I am using a dedicated cable to go from it to the 21" trinitron. Havent watched any films on it yet, but have done some photoshopping.

Yeah i was using the adapter, seemed 'blurry' not 'soft' like my 9800 does. Thinking of getting a 7900gs so i'll bear that in mind thanks

The latest 7900GS 512mb would be the best option this year.

From my friend in Hong Kong. The brand is Colorful, the biggest manufacturer in China. But this 7900GS is OEM by nVidia. They only put their lable on it and give it a retail box
