tried massaging the pixel, and it's still stuck on, anyway i've just negotiated a replacment quite surprised, first time i've successfully returned/replaced something, i usually give in. Here's to hoping the new one is ok

indeed i never heard about someone complaing about a sony monitor with dead pixels though, spose just because we are all bargain whores and take a chance with dell
Seriously - return it.
4 dead pixels on their own is a borderline return case, 4 in a row is a guaranteed replacement. I'm sure Dell are bound by the ISO standards under which they sell their monitors. IIRC any more than 2 in close proximity enables your to return.
As an aside, that looks like damage, not a manufacturing fault.
My new monitor is coming tomorrow hopefully can't wait, hope it's ok
replacement monitor arrived and no stuck or dead pixels on first inspection, on white and black screens i'm very happy now, and can highly recommend this monitor, plus the uk dell customer services are very helpfull.
Good for you. That is why I always prefer to buy in shops for monitors. You have to actually see them to be sure.
