Get the best you can afford. It's not like a CPU which you generally upgrade every couple of year or so to get a nice performance boost. A monitor should last you as long it's still working, so spend your monies now, and it'll go a bit further than the graphics card that feeds it

I would totally agree with S Kinton. Or you could look at the samsung 225BW. That one I heard is pretty good too.
