It beats the 7950GX2 in EVERY test I've seen on the internet. By quite a significant margin too. If you can show me a test where its slower than the 7950GX2, i'd like to see it. Although it wouldn't really be able to convince me to buy a GX2 anyway really. The 8800GTS is cheaper.. and from all the reviews I've seen about it, its miles faster.

Sent it off today so gotta ring Monday to tell them I want a GTS instead, just hope that guy wasn't talking rubbish and i can actually do it!
    Where are you buying from?

And can i just confirm, you saw an 8800GTX for £293? If so, please tell me where this is! Cheapest GTX on Scan is £379.88 not including VAT. Cheapest GTS is £289.88 (not inc. Vat). And thats a really cheap brand. For the ASUS version its £304.49

No no sorry! I was saying how much i paid for my 7900GTX (£324) and how much it is now (£293 at microdirect where i originally bought it

I'm not sure it will even happen now, i rang yesterday and told them again (When i rang the first time the guy said when i sent the 7900GTX back, i should call customer services and tell them and they will sort it) and the woman said she would put me down as requesting a refund instead of a replacement. Then i got an e-mail not making it very clear what will happen but im unsure, so we'll just have to see!

Can;t see why they shouldn't let me just add the money though, i mean if i put the extra towards an 8800GTS they aren't losing any money really as far as I can see!

Ohh i see. Oh well I hope you get an upgrade.

Your 7900GTX is a great card, but the 8800 GTS is amazing.

It might be worth mentioning that its a long card though. Im not sure if its bigger than the 7900GTX, and its a couple of inches shorter than the GTX. So it should be ok. But the GTX atleast, is not suited to alot of cases. Most people ive read about trying to fit it into a Mini-ATX case have had trouble. So it seems like you need a full ATX or full tower case to fit it in. Especially if there are hard drive bays at the bottom of the case opposite the PCI-E port.

It also needs a bit more power, but i think if you already have a 7900GTX it should be ok. Anything 500W or more should be ok. Im personally going to go with a 500W.

Oh and the last thing, it evidently needs two power leads to go into it.
