    thermal pads

    Hi does anyone know where i can buy the pads that go between the memory chips and cooler on a 7800gtx 512mb graphics card as i am refitting the org cooler and mine are destroyed ive got thermal paste but the gap btween chips and cooler is to big for it

    ok, i'm not responsible if something goes wrong but...you can use double sided tape, i used it on my 9800pro to great effect!

    Can buy thermal tape from quite a few places now online.

    But the problem is their is a gap of at least 1/2 mm btween cooler and memory chips and most tapes ive found for sale arent as thick as i need.Can anybody help pls

    You can buy double sided sticky foam tabs. They're used for sticking things like fire alarms up - they're about 3/4mm thick.

    Those pads aren't sticky, i have a few from ages ago

    Double sided tape man! thin enough to transfer heat (foam would just trap the heat & do more harm than good) & about a quid!
