Hi all,
Yesterday my DVD ROM drive packed-up. At least, it makes noises, but refuses to read any disks. I've taken it apart and cleaned it to no avail. It makes some unpleasant noises.
Anyway, I need to re-install BF2...but I can't....except that I have a DVD drive in my laptop. Both PC and laptop are running Windows XP Pro, and are connected on my LAN.
Is there any way I can install BF2 from the DVD drive in my laptop, and for BF2 to recognise the drive in my laptop as being the original installation location when it boots up? Is it simply a matter of sharing the DVD drive across the LAN, and it will work?
TIA
Mut.
