    Memory Upgrade

    Hello all,
Just a quick question. I'm currently looking to upgrade my system memory. So far I have in it what Mesh supplied, 2 x Nanya Technology aka Elixir PC2-4300 (266) 512MB, CAS 4-4-4-12.

    I'm thinking of adding these:
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=126737

    1Gb (2X512Mb) Corsair TwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC5400 (667), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 4-4-4-12

My question is that what I'm thinking of buying will it work with my current memory as:

    1) Different Brand (I don't think so but better checking)
    2) I have PC2-4300, would this clash with installing PC5400, or will BIOS detect the differences?

I only have a small budget, hence why checking to see if they work before ordering.

    Thanks in advance

I think you should be OK but you'll have to run all the modules at the lower speeds (266), I think Mesh support are supposed to be OK so it might be worth checking with them. Could you buy 2 sets of the new stuff and sell off your old kit to make up some of the difference?

Non of my other mates are yet on DDR2 so unable to do that one LOL

The other memory, if keeping for same speed would be:
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=121624

Different make, but same speed and cheaper to boot. But as got SLi, was looking at that other memory, or would it all be ok under non SLi Ready memory?
