problem with full screen gaming

its becoming a bit annoying now so need a fix

everytime i load a full screen app, e.g a game or something the taskbar seems to popup or certain icons appear through the game im playing! just now when i zoomed in on a gun in CS, the taskbar area went from the game to the wallpaper picture thats in that area.

and im having problems with the full screen game staying on top of everything else .... i have no idea what so ever of what i could try to fx this

any ideas?

Hmm, there are 3 random ideas I have... Although I've never experienced this myself it sounds like a problem with either:

A. Counterstrike is running on Direct3D instead of OpenGL as it's renderer, try messing around with the settings within the video renderer thing.

B. GFX Card drivers are buggy, try updating them or downgrading them.

(And the long shot)
C. If you're using dual screens CS 1.6 (I presume) might be getting confused as to what screen it's rendering or something, I have never heard of this happening before but god knows (:
