    Unhappy System boot!!!

    Hey guys

    Have just puchased a K9NU NEO-V B-Grade to go with my AMD Athlon X2 BE-2300 Socket AM2 1.9GHz but upon boot i get this message "fatel error cpu not supoported" MSI have bios updates but not sure how to update without a floppy drive or going through the windows route

    Please help need to play C&C3

    Without a supported CPU you're going to struggle to flash the BIOS... What BIOS revision do you have?

    on bios screen it says 1.01 also fails to detect USB Mouse but i know MSI have a update for this.

    a bit screwed really then B grade so thay wont take it back as theres nothing wrong with it anyway.

    worth an email to suport to see if they will send you a cross ship BIOS chip?

    would it be possable to insert a older socket AM2 CPU then flash the bios then

    yes if u have one thats the perfect solution, i would have posted it but not many people have spare compatable CPU's hanging around

    of course u still need a floppy or possibly a USB flash drive, should always have a floppy imho, for the fiver they cost and the time they save

    Spoke to my local PC repair guy who has some strange idea he's going to charge me £40 to try and fix the problem

    Worked out it would be cheaper to buy a old Sempron from scan and hopefully recoup some of it back from some mug of ebay
