    Reboot loop

Okay, machine fires up fine, go to windows, have a nice day, install some software, wishes a reboot, gets one. Then when it gets to the bios, it checks the ram, goes to detect the devices, then reboots, doesnt check the ram, then goes to detect the device, reboot.. and around and around we go till I power off and back on.
Tried BIOS update, tried wiping cmos with both jumper and batt.
It's not a major problem, but it is a irritation, has anyone come across anything like this?.

So have you been able to get it to power up fully?
Any of the usual beeps or anything?

I had a problem like this turned out to be ram failure.

Nope, it will run solid for weeks. Prime95 for 2 days and memtest for 1, both clean.

    Re: Reboot loop

Which Mobo is it you have? There's an issue like this that's been discussed around various forums with a ga-p35ds3r and a couple of others too. Noone has really got to the bottom of it from what i have read..try reseating everything, make sure there's not too much voltage going to the ram, cpu etc is all that i have gleaned myself. If this doesn't apply to you, hope someone has a solution for you.
