Help!

Ok, i've just assembled the build in "my system"

When i turned it on, it would turn on and off itself 3 times, then stay on. There was a red LED and a green LED (i think) turned on on the mobo, the green lights on my 9800gx2 were also on so i'm not entirely sure about the green light from the mobo.
Anyway, I wasn't getting any picture from my monitor, so i tried adjusting the graphics card so the dvi cable would plug into it more (i wasn't sure it was plugged in properly. After adjusting the graphics card and moving it a little, everything powered down and i can't turn it back on. I tried turning the psu on and off (switch @ back), using different plugs in my wall, taking out the power on switch header from the mobo and reinserting and also resetting the cmos. My comp still won't turn on.

Pull everything out and reinsert it all.

I would not think so, reinsert everything but the cpu and see if the system turns on

Sounds to me like a dodgy psu or motherboard.

Ok i took everything out and started installing 1 by 1, I got it to turn on but I can't see anything on the monitor, I've tried using both dvi ports on my vid card but nothing shows up

Do you hear any motherboard beeps when you turn the system on?

Nope, I don't think the mobo has a mobo speaker anyway, and I don't happen to have one lying around :s

clear cmos, boot with 1 stick ram

I cleared the CMOS and then did my second try with 1 stick of RAM? Should i clear the CMOS again?

completely power off, plug out etc, then clear

do you have another card to test with

Nope, the only other comp i have is the dell i'm using now with integrated gfx -.-

As far as I am aware the Abit Ip35 Dark Raider does make beep sounds when you turn it on.

Take the graphics card out, and turn the pc on and see if you get a beep.

do you have speakers ? if so, and you have xp installed (im not sure if vista has sounds i hardly ever turn my speaks on in time) and you havnt disabled sounds, turn your speaks on, boot her up and if you get the windows startup sounds then its more than likely something to do with GFX card.

^^not the most technical of things but it worked for diagnosing my kerputted GFX card.

edit: i can't really tell from the pictures, but does the mobo have a extra pci-e slot that you could drop the gfx card in?
also does you have another mobo that you can test the gfx card in?
you could try running with the bare minimum in the case i.e 1 stick RAM,CPU,PSU,MOBO

I tried running with bare minimums, it restarted 3 times then stayed on. However with that how do i get into bios cause i don't see a vga/dvi port on my mobo

I've heard no sounds whatsoever, and I can't have disabled anything cause i've just built it.

I've left the cmos battery out all night and the jumpers set to clear, i'll see what happens now

edit: ok the comp turns on, the graphics card goes really loud (i think that how it's supposed to start up) then it quietens down and the blue light indicating primary display turns on as well. However I still get no display whatsoever, no matter what dvi port i plug it into. I've also tried using a vga to dvi adapter and plugging my old monitor in and nothing happened there either.

It really does sound like a dead motherboard. The motherboard should be beeping its head off when you started it with the bare minimums. However the only way to fully confirm is if you could test the gfx card in a mates computer.

Does the Dark Raider have a CMOS status display?
I have an IP-35 Pro, and along with the power LEDs, there is a display which shows the status of the BIOS as it powers up. At the back of the motherboard manual, there is a list of descriptions of status identifiers.
