    Voltage Monitor

My PC has been having a bit of strangeness recently, so I downloaded CPUID Hardware Monitor (http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php)

Great it has everything all in one, but these results are thoroughly worrying...

    http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g1...aremonitor.jpg

I rebooted immediately and went into the BIOS hardware monitor and it said the 12V rail was 12.14V or something.

So something is either amiss, with my PC or the software.

    Basic PC specs.
    Hiper 580W Type-R Modular
    Abit N73-HD mATX motherboard
    3850 Pro 512mb PCI-E Graphics Card (16x)
    E4500 C2D @ Stock
    2 x 500Gb Sata Harddrives
    2 x 1Gb PC6400 RAM
    2 x DVDRW Drives
    X-Fi Elite Pro
    PCI-e Wireless Card (1x?)
    3 fans

What else can I use to verify the readings (other than a multimeter) ?

I would have thought that the specs would be well within the limits of the PSU...

    Help much appreciated

(PS. I know voltages should be within +/- 10% though I tend to go crazy when its more than 5% but this is immense, it shouldn't even work at 7V - so I defintiely think it is a misreading...)

    Re: Voltage Monitor

Give everest ultimate a whirl just for second opion on your voltages, CPUID may be reading wrong.

    Everest Ultimate

I had a 580w type R that served me well for a year and only upgraded due to a more power hungry system. There were reports of a bad batch of these PSU's and becuase of that everyone thinks they are all bad. (thats what i read anyway)
