    Address Bar

HI. This is my first attempt to ask for information so I hope I am in the right forum. I have recentkly started to use a Widescreen monitor to display from my PC using Windows XP pro. I have altered the resolution in order to fill the sceen and have also altered the font size using the display controls. I have also just downloaded SP3 as offered by Windows. Everything seems to be fine except I have just noticed a discrepancy. I wanted to give a URL address (I think that,s what you call it) or link to a thread on DVD,VCD etc. and I noticed there was no URL number displayed on the page where the address bar used to be shown. So I can not give a link either on the forum threads or by Email. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. As you may guess by now I'm not very good on Jargon. Thanks Roy Alexander

    Re: Address Bar

Sorry, I don't know what a screenshot is? Anyway my problem is simply that No address bar is seen on my monitor. I have tried Clicking on View-toolbars-address bars and it doesn't bringup the address bar with the URL numbers to copy and paste. Roy

    Re: Address Bar

To enable the Address Bar, set the NoAddressBar value to 0

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
    Explorer\Toolbars\Restrictions

To prevent the user from enabling the Address bar, set NoBandCustomize value
    to 1

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

    Re: Address Bar

Thankyou Jay for your interest and suggestions although they were way above my old head. However I have solved the problem. The address bar was hiding behind the toolbar. Thankyou again Roy
