hard drive data retreival

Hello all
My macbook broke for the millionth time today, and I was wondering if there is an easy way to transfer my music collection to a pc. I think I have heard of a sata to usb lead or something like that i can get. Is that feesable?

P.s I'll be back in a while, i'm going to take mr macbook to the basement to try and fix it the old fashioned way with a hammer and some nails. Hopefully that will do the trick.

You can connect a SATA drive to a USB port - however the PC won't natively understand the Macs HFS+ file system.

There applications that will allow you to do that though - this is one example (although I haven't tried it)
