    Seriously, I've not had to monkey about with IRQs in... about 10 years. Keep us updated on how you get along.

    I think the damn uninstall utility might have removed my south bridge drivers. Hopefully they did not.

    Re: hd 4870 Crossfire issue.

    Now i actually get a better frame rate WITHOUT crossfire enabled. This is really killing my soul. It STILL says the other card is diabled in CCC, so i really dont know what the heck i can do, i am going to try swapping cards and see if that works and hopefully that is all there is to it, unfortunately the bottom card has a massiv ecooler on it so i dont want to swap that cuase it takes up my only pcie x4 slot. GREAT. I just love buying stuff that does not freaKING WORK. I hate you asus/ati whoever's fault it is. You all deserve to burn for this one.

    mine looks very different....

    [img=http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/th.06e63d73e3.jpg]

    I have formatted, fought with my IRQs and APCI and a million other bull**** methods, but nothing has worked so far.

    I know now that i need to be able to select one card to be a master and the other to be a slave, but in the list where i am supposed to be able to select which i want as master there is only 1 card.

    I don't get either of the configure or diagnostic options and i dont get that little icon they added in 8.11 so it is basically not picking up 1 of my cards, there has to be some way to manually force it into finding the other one, i have swapped my cards now and still nothing.

    I did notice that one of my cards can clock to 800 while the other only goes to 790, could this have something to do with my problems??

    Re: hd 4870 Crossfire issue.

    are both of your cards clocked the same?
    neither of them are overclocked editions are they?
    cos you have 2 different brand cards, and if 1 of them has a different clock to the other, i don't think they'll work together.
