If you can't afford to get the retail version of Vista home premium, get the OEM version. It costs maybe...£70 odd I think. But it is tied to your motherboard which means if you buy a new motherboard, you will need to buy a new version. If you don't plan on upgrading your motherboard anytime soon, I'd go for OEM. It's the exact same as retail except in doesn't come in the fancy box and there is no support from microsoft, not that it will make a difference, there is a wealth of information on the net, garauntee if hexus can't solve a problem, microsoft won't be able to either
